Rear View Mirror w/ Roll Cage

Do any of you with roll bars/cages have a decent looking, non-obtrusive option for a rear view mirror?? I'm looking at some of the cage-mounted mirrors that are out there and they're all a little goofy looking. Most of them seem to be more for off-road rigs. I'd like to find something that has...

    Stock-style Seats & Roll Bar/Cage

Do any of you have a roll bar/cage with stock style seats? If I'm reading the NHRA rulebook correctly, in addition to the four bottom mounting bolts, the seat needs one bolt securing the seat back to the crossbar. How's that possible without going straight to a race seat like Kirkey, or the like?

    Roll Cage Welding

When you guys are welding in a roll cage (e.g., the main hoop), to avoid weld blow out, do you drill a 1/8" hole in the floor plate, or the actual tube? Is there any other way to prevent blow out in the weld?

    Interior Door Pulls

For those of you with roll cage diagonal shoulder bars that interfere with the stock door handle/rest what are you using for a door pull? I was thinking of making some type of strap/loop out of nylon strapping, similar to dog leash material. How have you guys navigated this challenge? Photos...

    Rear Firewall Question

NHRA requires a rear firewall (including package tray) made of 0.024" steel or 0.032" aluminum if the battery or fuel cell is in the trunk. My question is, instead of making a one-piece sheet metal panel covering the whole package tray, can one simply cover the speaker holes. I was thinking of...

    Where are the 315/60/15 tires???

Does anyone know why tire companies seem to have stopped making 315/60/15 street or drag radials? Somehow, I remember BFG, Nitto, and Mickey Thompson all made street and drag radials in this size. Now it looks like MT ET streets R's are about the only option. Is this just a function of tire...

    Mid Plate Questions

For those of you who run midplates, do you trim them around the starter mount to achieve full starter gear engagement Does .090" even matter? Also, do you shim the converter with washers, or a crank shim?? Thanks!

1/4 mi ET for given MPH

I understand there are TONS of variables but generally speaking, what would be a decent 1/4 mile ET for a street car that resulted in a 107 MPH trap speed? I finally got my 68 Dart street car out to the track for the first time. I couldn’t lean on the converter much without blowing the tires...

How to measure ladder bar length

I've got a pair of ladder bars I'm looking to sell, but I'm not sure how the length is measured. Are the advertised lengths of ladder bars the center of the rear axle to the front pivot of the bar, or something else? Thanks.

    Stupid SFI question?

I bought new sfi flexplate. It has the sfi cert number engraved on it. It also came with the standard sfi sticker, but none of the numbers are punched out. It's also not stuck to the part. The sticker just came in a baggy. Shouldn't the sticker have been punched and placed on the flexplate...
