Has anyone used a good de-carbonizer product that they like and can recommend? I've always just run an engine at 2500 RPM and run a bottle of water slowly through the intake. Are the de-carbonizers better at removing the carbon, or, just a sales gimmick?

A buddy's '95 Dakota 3.9 5speed flunked it's latest smog test. Only 3800 miles since it's last smog test two years ago when it had a new catalytic converter installed. All the HC, CO, and Nox readings are very similar between the two tests, both at 15MPH and 25MPH, except for the 25MPH Nox...

Has anyone figured out why they made this threaded side car on some of the 273 4bbl intakes? It's a blind hole, so, it's not a passageway to anywhere. I don't know of anything that would mount there, especially with that big a hole. It's a C.A.P. intake if that makes any difference to anyone.

Has anyone tried to put a windage tray on a 273 and found the 340 main bolts too long to use? I don't remember having any problem in the past with 318's, 340's, and 360's, but, this particular block is giving me pause. I noticed the windage tray bolts were longer, than the stock 273 main bolts...

Has anyone used the Melling double roller timing chain set? I've seen mixed results of the Comp Cam sets, so, not real confident in those at the moment, so, looking for something else that doesn't cost a small fortune.....preferably made in USA......although I'm not sure where the Melling ones...

Anyone have an idea what engine this intake is for? I found it with a bunch of Mopar stuff, but, it's not a Mopar manifold that I've ever seen.
