Originally a 225/904/8.25 car, I swapped in a warm 360 with a full manual reverse 727 with a loose stall. The combo was backed up by an 8 3/4" axle running a 4.10 sure grip. The car came from the factory painted a pale yellow/beige with the green interior but it had already been repainted green when I got it. Too bad.
This car started life as a 318/904/2.45:1 8 1/4" car wearing its original KY4 Golden Fawn paint, dealer-installed vinyl top and the factory set of 14" black steel wheels with dog dish caps. The interior was a matching tan bench with cloth inserts with a complimenting plaid pattern and was in mint condition. This was a serious old-lady survivor. Here's a car I really wish I still had... my 1971 Demon. It started life as a Hemi Orange 340 4-speed car and that's all I know about its origins. When I bought it, it was already mini-tubbed to the subframe with a gutted interior, 12 point rollcage, built engine and no inner fenders. This car started life as a 225/904 medium blue metallic fastback with a matching blue bucket interior. When I bought it, it already had a 440/727 from a 1973 New Yorker installed using the C-body exhaust manifolds that had been shaved to lie closer to the engine block. The rear end was an 8 3/4" with 3.23 open gears. The car was missing both front and rear bumpers and was wearing gold-painted Rallye wheels.
