So it looks like a .050" longer would work but not sure what the plunger travel is for lunati hydraulic lifters. Right now it has SBI 190-1403 Pushrods wich are 9.315 so i seen that Oe pushrods has a 9.375" in the catalog. I'll call them tomorrow.

And another thing i could easily turn the pushrods by hand on the cam case circle so yeah i believe it needs more pre-load.

Ask for 2 extra ones. It never hurts to have a spare or two. You won't get that from the speed shops. :)

I think the spec on the website says they can hold to within .005. The ones they made for me were .003 +/_ to perfect.

That's a lot. But it depends on what the Lifter Manufacturer recommends?

Sounds fine when cold then after it gets warmed up it sounds like sewing machine as it kind've did before but not as loud.

I’d say....... most of the time when someone comes up with a different length than what the advertised length is....... is because it’s not being measured the same way.

            https://static.summitracing.com/global/images/instructions/lun-02002.pdf

            Lunati recommends .020-.060"
Many hydraulics only have about .180-.200" travel, total. The more a spring is compressed, the higher the stress in the spring. Higher stress = shorter life. The lifters probably collapsed as a result and resulted in the ticking.

Non adjustable rockers are great for OE, mass-produced applications. Not so great for an aftermarket combination of parts unless everything is thoroughly measured during assembly.

You may have to replace your lifters or at least take them apart to look for damage.
