1/2 hose nipple what is the thread size?

70 Dart 340 using an ld340 intake ordered a repop nipple 1/2 hose what size is the threads? My intake has 3/8 npt have a feeling the nipple is going to be smaller anyone know??

Hose and pipe sizes go by the inner diameter.

So a 1/2" hose will fit over the outer diameter of a 3/8" nipple.

3/8" NPT has 18 Threads/Inch
1/2" NPT has 14 Threads/Inch
FYI, Pipe threads are tapered so always use a NPT tap.

This chart amoung other things, gives you OUTside diameter of pipe which is kinda handy. 1/8" pipe EG is "about" 3/8 that is you can actually get 3/8 fuel hose on it hose barb style

Likewise, 3/8 pipe can be used example, to splice 5/8 heater hose.
