Back in 1990 I ran a 10sec '69 Cuda-3000lbs at the line...here's the spec

Vintage Coooool ****. One could still run this identical combo today and do quite well.

Yeah would've liked 12.5:1 for that cam and more Head as they were only around 265cfm, (didn't have Ally heads then apart from B1=$$$$$), but it seemed to work well, big duration kept the valves open....ticked over at 900 and pulled like a train top end....those heads got me .5 sec over stock 906's though.

here's some more vintage footage from the Pod......doing some 10.90 index racing, stock headed motor.

No it was the old Comp Camps solid flat tappet, .650"-290dur@.50

Nice, im working on a similar build hoping for the same results, but your chassis is deffinately better than mine will be, but awesome car!

Yeah, I bought my '69 all complete running with 440/727 for $4500 at todays rate, was a street car on springs. Had a fellow Racer back half the car at his garage, supply and fit l/bars, did all the Tin work, made the f/wells, I had the motor balanced, bought the inlet/cam/converter, 2.14 heads and had the box raced up, 4.88's, Strange spool 35sp shafts, 14x32's, coil overs, External oiling system etc. etc., in fact race ready for around $15000:D....that was in 1989.
