Hey there guys, was really hopping to get some peoples opinions on 14 inch rims and 15 inch rims on Dusters. Was wondering which rim you think looks best on the car and which you would recomend putting on the car. If you have any tire recommendations and wheel recommendations as well as their size please share.
If you also have a photo of your duster with wheels and tires on it please feel free to share a photo of it as well.

Thank you

Ethan

If you have a choice (might be bolt pattern or hubcap driven) I would go 15 many more wheel and tire choices available.

The looks diference will be undetectable.

Or a combination of both if you choose. Sorry it's not a Duster but you get the idea.

Unless you are building a full resto, 15" is the only way to go for every reason there is

15" would look better since you have a bigger selection of tires.. personally i think a 17 or 18 inch rim would look even better..

Looks wise you won't be able to tell the difference. You'll never be able to tell if these are 14 or 15"... only that they look good. If you only drive the car every weekend or every other weekend then don't worry about it and get what is available to you. You'll probably rot the tires off rims before you wear them off anyway

14" tires are on the way of the dodo. 15"s (or 17"s) 100%. (Try shopping for a wide performance 14" tire. I know of two, which may or may not actually be available).

I had the toughest time finding a 28" tire for my 14" rim on my brand X vehicle. I actually ended up running an ATV tire. Not legal for hwy use.....It gets great traction! That particular vehicles top speed on a downhill with a tailwind is +/- 85 mph, so I am not worried that the tire is gonna come apart.

15s or bigger all the way, in saying that I personally like my sidewall and the extra shock absorbancy created by a taller sidewall, and in saying that.....I do like the looks of the 17"ish wheels.

But a picture of your car would be really nice, not sure I have ever seen one of these "dusters".:poke:

15's for sure, and you can increase or decrease the size of the tire for the look you want. Light weight wheels are always better for performance, but they come at a cost.

15 is the magic number
Anything bigger looks bad, anything smaller and you can't find tires for it

I have 14x5s torq thrusts up front and 14x8 steels on rear for mine but definitely starting to re consider before restoration is done. The 15s just have more options. Like everyone else said

Here’s my Duster back when I had 15x7” cop wheels and 225/60/15’s on it

I wouldn’t mess with 14’s at all. Honestly I wouldn’t even do 15’s anymore, but I know not everyone likes the 17+ wheels —even if you can get far better performing tires for 17+ inch wheels.

If you keep taller tires on the 17’s it can be hard to tell them apart from 15’s, back when I was running my Challenger all over the place I had more than a few people mistake my 17’s for 15’s. Top picture with the 15’s, bottom with 17’s.

15's all the way around on the Duster. 15's on the back and 14's on the front of the Scamp.

15" wheel add the option of running the 11.75" rotors if you have the BBP setup.

I think 15" steel wheels with center caps look better than 14" wheels, the smaller wheel just seems to make the center cap look too big. I think the 15" wheel and cap has better proportions. But it's subtle and just my opinion.
