15" X 7" Rear Wheel on a 65 Valiant ?

Will a 15" X 7" wheel with a 3.750" backspace, and a 245/60-15" tire, fit in the stock, rear, wheel well of a 65 Valiant ? -- Clearance to the springs will work, but how about clearance on the outside ? -- I can measure to determine, but I thought that someone may have this set-up.

I had to open up the front of the rear fender well lip, that is were it will hit first if it hits.

I think your going to find about 4 1/2" back space is what you need.

My son has 15x7 wheel vintiques' rallye wheels on the rear of his 65 B'cuda. 4.25 backspace and 235/60's. Springs and wheel lips untouched. He's got a half inch clearance on both the outside and inside of the sidewalls.

I was considering putting Torq Thrust Ds on the rear, of My Valiant, but the maximum backspace offered id 3.75". -- Currently the steelies are 7" with 4.250" backspace.
