150 speedo reset rod peculiarly

Note: Both 150 & 120 speedo pics attached.
I have a 150 speedo with trip odometer. When i went to install it into my rallye cluster the trip reset rod wouldn’t line up with the manufacture’s cluster bezel hole.
From the center of the reset rod to the closest point on the speedometer frame measures approx 1 1/8”. The distance should be closer to 1 1/2” as seen in the 120 speedo pic. Has anyone else experienced this? Do you know the cause and the solution?
I have no idea what year the 150 speedo came from originally.

This looks like a 66 Barracuda Speedo to me. Is there a cutout at the top of the speedo ? I can't see it in the pics.

Yes, between 60 and 90 mph markings it’s cut out. So, at least I know it’s origin. Now to figure out my options and its usefulness to me.
