My 1967 barracuda, #projectvertfish has the dreaded small bolt pattern.
And as much as I would like to rearrange the front and rear suspension to incorporate the 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern; for now I'm just going to try to find some small bolt pattern wheels.
I want all 4 wheels to be the same size and width if possible.
Im looking at these wheels from american racing,
American Racing Custom Wheels AR105 Torq Thrust M Gloss Black Wheel With Machined Lip (16x7"/5x100mm, +35mm offset)

Will these work?
Thanks in advance.

No they will not work. You say the bolt pattern is 100mm. At 25.4mm per inch, 100mm/25.4 mm per inch = 3.937 inches. They will most likely mount over the wheel studs OK, and you will probably even be able to tighten the lugs. However, since the bolt pattern is 3.937 inches and not 4.0 inches, the wheels will not be safe. They would be off by just a teeny little bit. Trust me. Even if they appear to fit, they will not fit properly.

Those look pretty cool - you could probably go 215/45s all the way around ( below is a quick compare to the common 205/70/14s. And as stated earlier there is more selection of modern tires and in many cases they are cheaper that the BFG TAs

So these guys are wrong?
No. They are not wrong. Their conversion chart is 100% correct. 100mm IS indeed 3.93 inches. But I stand by my comment that the wheels, though they may fit, are not 100% the same as 4" pattern. I would seriously lean towards one of the 5X4 17" rim options.

Another difference is hole size. Your OEM studs are 7/16 while aftermarket wheels are most likely drilled for 1/2 or 12MM studs. I don't know how much difference that would make other than finding sexy 7/16 left hand thread lug nuts for the left side. Just pointing out another difference.

Agreed. 4" =101.6 mm. And like others have said I wouldn't run anything but the exact size.
