Hi,
I recently got me a ‘49 Plymouth 2 door with no frame, no suspension and no engine or trans. Already have a 273 I’m rebuilding and 904 trans for it but don’t know what frame I can use for it. If anyone knows any information or has done a frame swap on a ‘49 please let me know ! Thank you

Take a tape measure and spend a couple hours at the boneyard- I'm willing to bet that a first or second gen Dakota frame will fit the bill- there's lots of variations for wheelbase between shortbed/longbed and regular cab, extended cab and quad cab and all the combinations thereof... Smallblocks & Torqueflites drop right in, beefy brakes, rack & pinion steering. And if I recall, the track width is just right.

That has the potential to be really cool.
Take your time and do it right.

A 49 Plymouth frame will fit pretty good, I bet.
