Handful of questions on this system if anyone knows:
FSM says the gauges run off of 5v. I know in the 65+ the clusters have a voltage regulator, but where does the 63/64 get the 5v from? The schematic looks like it's just feeding ignition 12v to the cluster.
I have two clusters from 64s and they have a capacitor from ground to the ignition side of the fuel gauge. My '63 does not have this. Is it missing? Or were they not used in the 63? I don't see a reference to it in the FSM schematic, but I admit I'm getting cross-eyed trying to follow the schematic so may be missing it.
Schematic shows circuit breakers for both the wiper motor and headlights. I've replaced this entire wiring harness in the past and never ran across any breakers. I had always assumed the headlight one was inside the switch assembly itself and never really thought about the wiper motor. Where are these breakers? (I have no issues here, just curious)
TIA!
