1965 dart street/strip build turbo hemi

like the way you did your trans tunnel. It's a job I'll be doing before too long. You've given me a few ideas....following
Thank you. It was my first time. It took me some time to figure it out. I wish could have rolled it but I didn’t have the tooling or no how. This made more sense. Hahaha.

Yes. I didn’t have enough time to get it done. The car was scheduled to go to shop for its cage work. We measured it out and place the bars. I will do it once I receive the car back. It may be a little tougher now lol.
Yeah it’s tough without the bars. That was one of those “I’ll never do that again!”projects on mine. But you have better fab skills than me and if you have a lift will be even easier. Really enjoying your build and plan on doing a turbo gen3 in my early A someday once I wear out the current turbo SBM setup.

Thank you. It has been quite a learning curve. One that I am enjoying. Pocket book not so much. If my car was a small block car I probably would have just turbocharged that but I had the hemi laying there. It has really escalated thou lol.

The newest pictures of my car. The plan is to get it back in 2 weeks.

nice job on the steering shaft routing, looks similar to what I had to do on a Stage I / 392 Hemi build. Those early Hemis are not as tall, but they are wide.

keep up the good work,
Denny

Long time no update. Well I have been busy working on my street 65. It is out of the shop now and the racecar has found it’s way back. During the down time I picked up a BGE 6.4 from a 2014 ram for it. No picture at this time. I also ordered the new wheels. I have received the fronts but the rears along with the tires are on back order ugh. Well a few pictures to help get this post back to the top. O and a picture of my street car.

Good lookin pair of Dart’s! ‘65’s are definitely my favorite year of the early A’s and very well might be my favorite Dart’s overall.

Happy 4th. Here’s a couple new pictures. Ordered the cal-tracs mono leafs and spring sliders. Can’t wait to get them here.

Very cool build so far. Can’t believe I missed it until now. Following.
What turbo(s) and what engine management will you be using?

More goodies have arrived. Still waiting on other parts. I have decided leafs are staying under the car. So I ordered cal-trac mono’s and assassin bars. Hopefully here soon I will start doing the mini tubs and spring relocation.

no idea on turbo yet. Technology changes so fast that I will see what’s on the market when that time that time comes. Same goes for the engine management. If it was today I would use fuel tech. They may still be my choice when I get to that point.

Let there be some traction. Now only if the rest of my stuff would show up.

Have always admired the Assassin bars. But, with all the adjustment options, I'd still be out to lunch!! Lol!!
Haha. It may be over my head lol. But learn fast. I feel like having a stick shift car on leafs. I will need all the traction help that I can get.

I also am running a stick shift on my next car. I'll be watching!!

Not looking forward to it. It would have been so much easier with no cage lol. But surgery is going to begin. Mini tub commence.

Well the motor is in. Manifolds are bolted up. I was going to have my motor mounts tig welded but I tacked them with my mig and decided I would just weld them. Next up the firewall.

Are you planning on keeping your front inner aprons in tact or cutting them out and rolling some custom inner fenders?

. As of now I plan on keeping them. I will see how it all fits when it comes to placing the turbo.
