1965 dart street/strip build turbo hemi

. As of now I plan on keeping them. I will see how it all fits when it comes to placing the turbo.
Okay, I guess it work either way since you've got the right K-member setup. For this car, we were actually planning to delete the aprons, plus rebuild and move firewall back a couple inches. Its too flexible in it's current configuration.

I have forward bars and a full under dash bar. Hopefully that will help with flex. I would have loved to move my firewall back but for most classes this car will be raced in requires stock location. The inner fenders may come out one day. As I am sitting here typing. All night I have been researching moving the radiator to the rear of the car lol. Stupid car takes over all my thoughts. Hahaha.

Little by little parts show up. One more thing to crossed off the list. It’s all about the man pedal. One day I will get to work on it. Ugh.

Got the axle and springs out. Of course had to see what it looks like. So much cutting is needed. Lil by lil this project moves along.

Made a little progress today. Got one side of the wheel tub removed. Going to tackle the other one next weekend. I also received my new to me intake manifold. I have been looking for a prefix manifold for some time. I jumped on picking it up the minute that I could lol.

Yep this will work. More trimming and cleaning needed but a good start.

Been awhile for an update. It has been hard to get out to the shop lately. The wife had emergency mouth work done on Friday. Today the daughter got a staple in her head lol. I found a little time to work on the car thou. Tubs are near done finally. Some final welding and grinding. Then on to the spring relocation. Little by little this project moves along.

I can sympathize. I am about 95% done on the body’s metal work as of today. Keep it up. Steady progress is better than none at all.

Your metalwork looks great.

Still working and purchasing parts. Another piece to the puzzle. It’s all about the the third pedal and shift. Next piece will be the gear set.

Well I got the tubs completed. Was planning on getting the springs moved and mounted as well. Ran out of welding gas. Ugh. Another day. Little by little this project moves along.

I recently did some cutting and welding in that same area of my early A and wanted to remove as much old undercoating and paint as I could to prep it. I found that a couple of cans of oven cleaner melted most of the old undercoating off.

I will keep this in mind. Great tip. I have been using a torch and strapper. Then following that up with a wire wheel. I have so much cleaning to do still. I wish i could have just blasted the car lol.

Yeah thanks for the "EASY OFF" oven cleaner tip!!! Great fab work too!! Keep posting up the work.

So I hated having to use a key to get inside my trunk. I thought about using a cable setup but then I would need to go inside the car to pull it. I broke my cylinder so I came up with this idea. It is a cabinet latch. Came out pretty decent for what it is and works great. No key needed now.

Here it is. First time on all 4 and outside in a year. The axle in the rear is a mock up and I will order the 9 inch in a couple months. I got done what I needed too. Now time to tackle some other car projects.
