Finally the next project showed up today. Rostfree body, toasted interior and lots of work.
Need to list all the work to fire it up. More pictures to come.

Looks way better with the right wheels! I really enjoy zero rust on this one. However the seats are toast.
Following options;
- radio w/antenna
- night/day mirror
- outside adjustable mirror
- front seat belts
- woodgrained steering wheel
- front sway bar
- 10' brakes
- air condition
- power steering
- variable speed wipers
- windshield washer system

I was lucky to find pieces of factory broadcast sheet too. Life is good.

Is this gonna be a complete by-the-Numbers, every nut and bolt the correct finish or something else?

Don! I will get it running and do so for a couple of years and then do a restoration like the wagon. I want this one to be a driver. I already have a car I can push around!!
After a closer look the rats had a party under the hood! The wiring and the cables were toast. However I found a great one in my stash and changed it tonight. Now the light and starter works.
Tomorrow is oil change and a new filter. Need to get the carb too. Hope to fire it up this upcoming weekend! Tjohoo!

Hi Ulf. Looks like a fun project. BOTH lights work....even after over 50 years. Can a person even buy those headlights anymore? Do you need a grill? I have one if you need one....maybe a trade on that pulley. Thanks for posting. sgrip65

Isn't it fantastic? 50 years and works just good. I wonder how the light today will work in 55 years? Well, we might found out.
Yes, I need a grille for it. Was totalled so I'm all in for one.
The front valence is back in place. Actually it was just crap. I called my friend Anders who did some metal fabrication for my showcar and he told me to bring it to him. Yes, leave it and I'll see what I can do. Today he called me and said it was ready!! Stop by him and it looked brand new. He drilled out the spot welds and massaged it back to former glory and the welded it back together. Magic fingers! Don! This is why I'm impressed by your metal fabrication skills.
Now it's back in place and it starts to come together. I cleaned the carb and started it up after all these years. Life is good!

Vax on, vax off, vax on, vax off was a central part of a movie some 20 years ago. Well, I brought my vax and sang the song Everybody was Kung Foo fighting.... and this is the result of the quarter panel. I need to get a better microphone if this one gonna shine!

I checked all the hoses today. They are toast big time. Tried to remove the upper radiator hose but the thermostat housing lost the pipe woth the hose and is now in two pieces!!
So now I'm looking for a 273 a/c thermostat housing. Anyone have one for sale?

I might have one more if you are looking for an original - I will check. FWIW they are available new from the aftermarket. I think @6pk2goDemon posted the link

I can't believe you are doing another one! But I am sure it will be a great job. I am amazed with the parts you find, the work you do and the finished projects. Good luck with your driver.

Thanks Don! I found out this one is made of steel and the one on my convertible was casted iron. Might be a change in the production with same partnumber. Either one will do.

Today I started out with the interior. Dried out and dirty is the game. Took out the backseat and package tray. Waxed the painted areas and sprayed the package tray black again. Cleaned the rear seats and even found a factory tag. Under the seat I even found remains of masking tejp that holded a mounting instruction sheet for the assembly staff! How cool is that!
Re-installed the seat and got a better armrest bases so now it looks way better!

Yesterday I did the rear brakes incl the rear brake hose. I even mounted a set of NOS brake shoes. The propshaft was disconnected too so a new u-joint can be installed. The passenger door was cleaned as well the the seat. After all these years the Dartcharger badge is back in place.

Hi Ulf. Sounds like you are getting a start on this project. It actually looks pretty darn reasonable for being over 50 years of age. A Charger is it as I see the medallion on the dash? If we keep it up, we will have all of the 65 Darts worth restoring......restored. Then, what are we going to do? Looking good. sgrip65

Ulf. Where did you buy this car? Or have you posted that information already on this thread. Yes, I seem to find them, but nothing like you have come up with. Great find. Jerry
