1965 Valiant Disc Upgrade

New guy here! Just love this site. I just bought a 1965 Valiant slant 6, automatic 4dr. with 10” drums and 5” x 4” wheel pattern with 14” tires. I have read all the threads and did a web search on front disc upgrades. I am cheap and not looking to have a hot rod or show car. Based on my research, if I get a salvaged 1973-76 Mopar A-Body with donor disc brakes from a (Valiant, Duster, Scamp, Barracuda, Dart, Demon) I should be able to bolt up? What should I tell the salvage yard to give me? What old parts should I just replace with new? Will I have to get new rims and tires? I am older than my car, so dumb down and responses.
