So i know absolutely nothing about headliners. And currently my barracuda has no headliner and no bows whatsoever for even attempting to install a headliner. Is there a website someone knows where i could buy some or make my own somehow? And im assuming it would be hard to just glue it on. Just wanna know for later down the road when im ready to do it. And in advance thank you all!

Headliner bows typically vary in shape/length. You may find what catches the ends is a separate piece also. Then there are tether or anchor wires to secure the rear most bow. I think the best plan is to seek what parts you're missing from a donor car.

I remember trying to install a headliner in a car I restored years ago, and after getting high as a kite from the contact cement and failing miserably, I called a pro in to do it and was glad to pay the money. He even brought a steamer to make it all good and tight.
I suggest you procure the bows and headliner and call someone who knows what they are doing. Just my 2c :)

If you are young and healthy, no neck or knee issues,,, all that could change by the time you complete a headliner install. I've done it,, 67 notchback X 2. Today @ 68 yr old and having arthritis in hands along with other ailments, no way. Good luck

My upholstery guy doesn't enjoy doing them especially with the glass still in and he does custom upholstery for high end street rods. He's in his mid to late 50's I think. They are not fun and can spank your butt pretty easy if you don't know what you are doing.

Try putting up a wanted add. I believe RatRodAl parted out an early Barracuda not too long ago. Once you have the bows and know what order they go, installing the headliner is a little tedious, but definitely doable.

I think as someone mentioned it may be best to find a donor car for the rods. Someone here may have some but shipping on a long item can be expensive.. You will need to take the windows out ,as far as I know to get to the metal points to attach there. Also keep in mind that there is an insulation pad between the boows and the roof, but you should be able to find something that will work for that.

I bought a set last year but don' t need them. In Texas.

I MAY have an extra set as i misplaced one bow 30 years ago and just found it again, not long after finally finding a complete set...that proves some immutable truth out there.... :BangHead:
