I'm selling my 1966 Barracuda after owning it for 53 years. My son drove it after me. California car.
I was trying to restore it but age and health have caught up with me.
It is a slant six 225 with automatic transmission and CAP.
It worked fine until about three years ago when the original carb started leaking.
I got a kit and rebuilt it but the brand new diaphragm had a hole in it !!!
So I took it apart again but never got around to fixing it. It's been parked ever since.
The good : It has a newer engine (I think 1973). No leaks. I worked on all the electrical stuff and they work fine. New alternator, water pump, water bottle, fuel pump,
electronic voltage regulator, etc. Originally it had no radio, but I added the genuine AM radio and I added an FM radio in the glove compartment. It has several speakers installed, brand new bucket seat covers, new carpet in front etc.
The brakes have been replaced as were all hoses. I have a lot of extras that go with it. Several alternative carburetors, several radios, replacement front grill, hubcaps, headliner, a driver's bucket seat foam and covers, a spare instrument panel, new wheel trim, etc.
The bad: The carburetor as described above, and A LOT of body and interior work. This car was hit while parked !!! twice. The passenger door was completely done in and I replaced it with a junkyard door of different color.
The interior needs replacing the driver's bucket with the foam mentioned and I think the passenger seat needs work. The back bench is fairly OK. The headliner needs replacement.
It's been sitting for about 3 years and it probably needs new tires although the tread looks alright.
The car is in Concord in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I'm not sure how to price it but I would like to recoop as much of my recent costs which were about $4500 + OBO
PM me for more photos
