I have too many projects! Something has to go!

Barn fresh patina 1966 Plymouth Barracuda. This car screams 1970s down to the “shackles”, chrome reverse wheels (on the rear and very rusty LOL), faded decals, wide vision rear view mirror, and the AM/FM 8 track (have no idea if it works but it is the cool one with the radio dial that flips back when you insert the tape!) Dixco tach (works!).

Originally a 273 V-8 / 3 speed manual on column car. December 20, 1965 birthday. Citron vinyl. Bucket seat car. Dark Green metallic. Upper door color gold.

Now the engine is a 72 or 73 360. Build date July 6, 1972. Just refreshed. New rings. New rod and main bearings. New double roller timing chain. Wilhoute reground cam. New lifters. New pushrods. New Edelbrock valve springs. New oil pump. New oil pump pickup. New oil pan. New water pump. Fresh rebuilt alternator. New belt and hoses. Casting number 3462848 1970 340 4 bbl intake manifold. Holley 7009-1 600 CFM vac sec with fresh kit. MT valve covers. Valves and seat fresh grind. B&M external balance flex plate.

Transmission is a 1970 727. Aug. 28, 1969 build date. Part number PK3410769L which is out of a 1970 Valiant/Dart/Barracuda/Challenger with a 340 4 bbl or a 1970 Barracuda/Challenger with a 340 w/ 3 two bbl. Fresh B&I rebuilt torque converter. New bands. Refurbed reverse drum. Fresh gaskets and seals.

New brake drums. New brake shoes. New hold down hardware. New wheel cylinders. New brake hoses. Hard lines flushed. New master cylinder. New Moser “green style” rear axle bearings (adjuster eliminator) on 8-3/4 rear end.

Both front floor pans and left rear floor pan are new. Steering column has been replaced with floor shift style column. Column shaft updated with ball bearing lower bearing replacing plastic sleeve. Automatic style brake pedal. “Coffin” style console with floor shifter. Fuse panel has been replaced with ATO/ATC style fuse box. Trans crossmember modified for dual exhaust.

New battery. New LuxeRad aluminum radiator.

Will need suspension and gauge work. The rest depends on how far you want to take it,

Car is located in Guthrie, OK (just north of Oklahoma City) Clear green OK title in my name. Car currently has an up-to-date black tag. (Green title is standard OK title. Black tag means car does not have insurance so can not be driven on streets.)

$5,900 OBO

What are the bucket seats out of? They fit and look nice.
I think they are out of a van. We have a guy in southern OKC that gets buckets all the time out of wrecks and conversions. He had no idea what they were out of. I tried to locate an original set before I bought these. Actually found a set on here that were reasonable but too far away and covid made it even more difficult to get them here. I saw these and thought that without the headrests and arm rests that they looked pretty close to the originals at least in overall shape. If I were to continue on the car, I would have pulled the headrests and arm rests.
