I’ve gotten around to assembling the accessory drive for my ‘66 Valiant to add AC on the 273.
Here’s what it looks like.
This is a single belt system for the AC that has a separate pulley for tension and another idler pulley for more wrap around the compressor.
It was rather confusing sorting out what was required and after years of foot dragging and trying to figure out what was needed I’m finally getting there. There is another “early” A accessory drive with two belts that utilizes the alternator to adjust belt tension.

Looks good

From what I can tell the correct crank pulley should be a rubber damped version with AC. There were 2 different ones that the parts book does not clearly differentiate. Mainly the center pulley is sized different.

I am doing the same to our 66 Valiant.
