After almost a decade my 66 Convertible is running and even licensed again. I bought this on eBay about seventeen years ago. I drove it for quit a few years. I was putting off replacing the clutch because I knew that would be the snowball that started the avalanche… and it was. The good news is everything has been rebuilt and the hard work for the install of factory AC is done.
Now I gotta get it home and get new tires on it.

Nice lookin car! I just got my 75 F250 Gladys, back on the road after five months. I'm not sure I couldda stood ten years. Congrats!

Hey, nice car Rich. I think I might’ve seen that car before somewhere! Glad it’s finally back and ready for the road!

Cool car, luv driving mine. Just did a late morning trip to a place for lunch. There were 40 of us in a convoy.

Now that it’s home there’s still lots to do.
I need to get tires.
And I can now install all of the parts I’ve been accumulating for the last nine years such as the door panels; I even put one on today.

I bought some tires for the car today and I didn’t think I’d need to tell them white letters out.
But we are road ready but still plenty to do.

Today’s project is installing my NOS air cleaner. I bought this off of eBay many years ago. The seller said his dad worked at Chrysler HQ Highland Park. He claimed this was in the underhood mock up area for years. I knew exactly what he was talking about because I remember going to that room in the early 80s.
I had also purchased a reproduction of the 273 Commando “pie plate” that someone here on FABO had gotten made. This is not the decal that’s available on eBay and other sources. It is like the original printed on a thin metal with adhesive so it’s very much identical to the original.
So after all these years I attached the pie plate and installed on my car.

Thanks!
Been watching your progress.
I would not have made as much progress without Cosgig’s assistance.

When I retired, I knew I wanted to find a fun car to play with. I had many Mopar related interests and ideas to consider.

@SSVDP, it was a photo of another 66 Signet that looks remarkably like yours that sold me on getting a 66 Valiant. It was a hardtop but had the same dark blue upper body with the silver lower area.

Yours is gorgeous! Here is what I found after almost a year of looking. Can't have too many Valiants running around!
