Hunted around and ca't seem to find a windshield for a 66 vert, seems gaskets and windshield are no goes, unless you use something else?? but what?

All '63-'66 A-bodies (Dart, Valiant, Barracuda) use the same windshield, a NAGS № DW-625 (-GBN suffix = green-tinted glass with a dark blue band at the top).

NAGS is the system of auto glass indexing used throughout North America. Instead of calling around asking for a windshield for a Valiant, just skip directly to the main course and ask for availability and price on a DW-625—saves them the trouble of trying to find an old-old application the books might not bother with any more.

The closed cars all use a WCRD625 gasket with associated lockstrip, and the convertibles take the same lockstrip, but they use a different gasket—much harder to chase down, and more costly, but these people offer it. Or just use the closed-car gasket as described in this thread.
