i removed the seam on the firewall(total pita!) but i would do it again , Just differently.
i saw it on a duster at the dragstrip once and thought it looked cool.
the plan is for a little small block with a OD 4 speed for now .. maybe a 5 speed later.
i will try and take some more progress pictures this weekend and keep this up to date with my slow but steady progress...

Thats some real nice work your doing! What color are you thinking about painting it? Lookin good, I'll be watching for your progress. Jim

Wow!! so that's what my Victoria looks like upside down
I see your 66 was the same color as Victoria at one time :glasses7:
The frame connectors are in and ready for some power I see :burnout:
Subscribed to this cool 66 build  and welcome if I missed you in the welcome wagon forum here vitamindart  You have dun some great work on your 66 and can't wait for the next update :coffee2:

thanks, i have been around a while just not much in the last couple years. it is going to be white..with a little pearl in it maybe. the frame connectors are cheap and easy to do
took me longer to build the rotiserie...

Looking gooood there Vitamindart, you're doing a great job!! Keep up the good work and of course keep us posted too!! Geof

Like the wheels. Never seen that combo before. There are very few modern wheels that look good on that body, IMHO. I'm building a 68 Dart right now and I'm going with the steel wheels, 15X7 and 15X6 with the body color on the rims. It took Wheel Vintiques 5 frickin' weeks to get those wheels to me. They say they were bought up last year and they have been having problems ever since.

thanks guys, work has been slowed a bit..i am No bodyman so it takes me forever
hoping to get the body reprimed once i finish sanding the dings and dents out of the passinger rear quarter.
welded all the dash pad holes up last weekend and smoothed it out.
a little more sanding and that will be ready for paint.

all right a little more progress the last couple weekends, welded up the dash pad holes
sprayed some primer and color on the jambs. now i can start putting some of it together and then block it out and re prime it

I'm very impressed. The wheels look good and a white paintjob will show off the crisp lines of your '66 very nicely!

as far as the motor i was playing with a srt4 mill but there would have been to many massive mods( and 1 off parts ) to make a stick work. thought about the slant ..always wanted to Build one but i gave all my slant stuff to the kid
(for my old dart) i picked up a 273 and have been collecting the parts to put that in with a 4 speed so for right now that is the plan...but who knows..

ok progress has been slow, i did get the 8 3/4 under her and she is off the rotiserie and back home.
here is a picture of here before i loaded her up for the ride home.
now i need to decide on a headliner color and interior color.
Black/White? light Blue / White ?

My vote is for blue/white. Not too light a shade of blue. But whatever you choose it will be a very nice car.

ok, we have been making some progress on the old girl.
just no where as much as I would like to see. we stuffed a little 318 with a recent rebuild in the bay, a 904 trans with a small stall 2200/2400 and a manual valve body.
even took it for a little ride up and down the block.

tons of wiring the old harness had been hacked a couple times over. I will try and get some better/more current engine bay pictures. need to start on the blocking of the car. then another coat of primer and some color... hopefully before summer is over.
My little buddy really wants to hit some car shows this summer..
