Can anyone tell me how many 67 Barracudas were made with a bench seat? Any #'s available on breakdown by body style or eng/trans attachment?

Thanks...........

Thanks gents......found a '67 383 formula s fastback said to be blk/blk bench and 4 spd; however, from my just concluded research it isn't - paint code is ee1 (dark blue poly) and trans code on the tag is 5 (which according to what i am reading is an automatic). The trim code is H68, cannot find what that is.

BH29H7 in the VIN
engine code 62 383

trim code is probably H6(B) not 8, which is blue w/buckets.
code 39(3) - 4-spd
code 39(5) - Automatic
So yes, if the fender tag code 5 it is an automatic transmission car.

Tell me more... is it modified, fender-wells cut, rust. Are the rare items intact - a-body B-block, K-frame, exhaust manifolds, air cleaner, radiator? What are they asking for the car? Trans conversion and paint aren't big negatives and correctable.
Fender tag appears to be there.. how about the broadcast sheet, certicard?
Do the body numbers on the core support and left rear q-panel match the fender tags S.O. Number? The nice thing about the 67's is you can still get the build cards from Chrysler historical.

I spoke with him briefly, it seems the tag pic he sent is of the wrong tag, going to try and talk with him later. It has yellow doors and white fenders, It may be a re-body for his ultra rare fender tag, i will find out when i talk to him. Has also had the entire flr pan replaced, new qtrs, etc. I did not have time to ask if he has the orig drive train or not or if it even has a title. Does not appear to be modified, no idea if it was in the past or not. Also according to him it is a heater delete car. No broadcast.........he is asking 10K.

The K-frame is in the car but no idea if it is the correct one for a 383.

There aren't any numbers available for bench cars, but they aren't that rare. My 273 Commando fastback is one. A lot of the coupes had benches. It's just that 45 years later, they've mostly been converted to buckets/console.

It seems odd for a radio-delete BB Barracuda to have a bench seat. Usually radio-delete/bench cars are low-buck fleet cars, but Barracudas were never sold as taxis or to motor pools, and if you were concerned about weighty accessories and wanted to drag race that 383, the first thing you'd want to get rid of would be that 150lb bench seat. I mean, the radio weighs what, 5 lbs?
