Hey Guys,

I have a 1967 Dart 2 door hardtop with the front and rear windshield gaskets shot and in need of replacement. Did a fair amount of research and think I know the options, but to make sure with the group that I am not missing anything.

1. Front windshield - has a gasket with plastic push in trim, chrome plated
Option A - Can still buy replacement gasket and plastic trim, albeit prone to mixed reviews (leaks, improper seal).
Option B - Upgrade to a 68 gasket, install reveal clips, purchase used OEM chrome trim (heard there are issues with aftermarket trim).

2. Rear windshield - has a gasket with actual steel chrome trim attaching to reveal clips.
Option A - try to located a 67 rear gasket, but that looks to be impossible. Re-use chrome trim.
Option B - use 68 rear gasket, install reveal clips and OEM chrome trim from a 68 car. Unclear if the 67 chrome trim I have will work with a 68 gasket.

Any suggestions from those that have gone thru this before?

Thanks in advance for you insight.

You already have real trim at rear window. I would seek same for front window with the 68 self locking gasket. Front trim is different post sedan or no post coupe.

When I got the 4th and final piece of my rear window reveal moulding the owned said "come and get it, it's yours" 50+ miles 1 way was not a problem. My wait to find that single piece was nearly 13 years. The front shouldn't be as difficult to gather. Good luck.

I've got an extra, new-in-box '68 front gasket from Steele Rubber Products less the locking strip.

Make me an offer and cover the ride.

Not 100% positive, but I don't think that gasket type is intended for a 2 door hardtop dart. It looks like it is set for a convertible.

The one that I am looking at is in the link below.

Windshield Gasket Seal w Trim Groove - 68-76 Dodge Plymouth A-Body 2dr Hardtop

Don't know. Would be nice if they showed a profile view. Too cheap to cut one I guess.
Don't know "chrome" either. There was a chrome look mylar insert. Real reveal mouldings are stainless.
I spent a lot of time cleaning a OEM one piece self locking from a 68 fish to re use in my 67 fish.
Maybe look at Steele rubber products.

In the Barracuda the gasket has a flap like that lays over the headliner attach points.
I seem to recall something had a trim part inside. Could have been at rear window too. Can't recall.
