Well I got my first old Mopar yesterday and I'm gonna start doing some work to it to get it ready for a 360 eventually. It needs it share of suspension work and brake work, but it's not terrible. It runs and drives with the 225 Slant 6 in there now. Not a perfect car, but it's pretty damn solid. Today I cleaned out the extra parts out of the car and now I have yet to wash it and vacuum out the interior! I will keep all of you updated on this...slow but surely it will be a 4 door rocket.
Thank you for everything! I will keep that in mind for sure. Let me know when you get those fenders, I would like to buy them off you.
Fixed the exhaust leak with some new gaskets. I repainted the intake manifold, air filter housing, wingnut, thermostat housing and a few throttle brackets for the carburetor. It looks and sounds a lot better now!
Just put new Super Stock leaf springs and rear Monroe shocks on today. It definitely needed new leaf springs since they were really old and the bushings were shot. On top of that, someone at one point in time welded a broken part of the left leaf spring. There were also air shocks on the car as well, which was used as a extra support for weak leaf springs. The rear end of the car sits higher now with the new leaf springs and shocks on, which is aggressive looking!
Not a more door fan but a huge 68 fan. So this is kind of cool. You definitely have a lot of help with sedanman being local. Keep it up. Looking good.
Looks like a great project, love the white and the cragars I have a pair of 68 2drs ones white and a 72 more door that I just picked up to use as a driver. Be careful these valiant become addicting that's how I ended up having 3 now.
Hooked up a vacuum gauge today-- it works really well and from the readings it has given me, my engine is healthy!
