1969 383 GTS Power Steering

Thanks for the info HemiSSDart.

My (69 383 4-Speed) GTS had power steering when I got it in 1990. What I am having trouble with is the correct pump and brackets. The one that is on it now has the belt passing under the water pump pulley and it touches ever so slightly making rub marks on the bell shaped part of the pulley. Any chance you have some detailed pics of the correct pump and brackets? And possibly the correct water pump pulley? I believe the pulley is correct, but as with anything Mopar, you never know....

Look carefully at the pump and how it mounts and adjusts. If there's enough room, you may be able to get a belt 1/2" or so longer and that will position the pump lower and prevent the rubbing.

Yes 69 "A" body 383 Dart and Barracuda only.

What is the OD of that pulley?

6 -7/8"

Are the orange valve cover bolts correct for a '69?

I have seen orange and chrome bolts, depends on what the line workers did. I know if you buy them over the counter you get chrome bolts...
