Hey FABO!!

Some have requested, and we are trying to get another CHERRY Dart for AbodyBetty, so HEEEEEERRRRRRREEE WE GO!!!
1969 Dodge Dart
225 Slanty Auto

Survivor Cherry named Clara.
Our daily driver but with little TLC could show this summer very easy.
Everything has been gone through and replaced including belts, hoses, pumps, etc, even new fuel tank. We went through everything for our son to drive then we bought it back from him.
We have owned sense approx 35K miles and now has approx 62K ORIGINAL miles!!

New exhaust system installed last week and comes with a set of studded snow tires and 2 sand bags in the trunk!! (All 6 tires are fairly new and have alot of life left.
All original trim included even if not shown in pics, spear moldings too.
All glass good and clear.

This car is in great shape and presently driven daily, garage kept, spoiled rotten, and just washed yesterday too!!:thumbup:

This is a VERY solid, great running car!!

YES, it is a 4 door.

No, the hindges don't wear out on 4 doors due to the smaller doors.

YES, you can load more for 2 people on vacation.

NO, there hasn't been 4 generations of teenagers molesting this 4 door at the drag strip!

YES, the original owner was an older lady who was a school teacher and only drove to work, church, grocery, doctors!

NO, This car has never been restored.

Yes, the sides were painted one fall due to me and the boy fixing rubs down the side the nice lady put in them going in and out of her garage.

No the bodywork on the sides was never finished due to my boy moving out and taking his car with him.

Yes the family finally took the keys from the grand dam and the car was then parked in dry storage for years.

No there's nothing major wrong with her that I know of.

Yes, you can drive it home right after you pay me!

No, that's not huge amounts of oil leaking everywhere.

Yes, I just cleaned the engine compartment 2 times a year, then shoot entire compartment and undercarrage with WD-40 for ultimate Daily Driver protection! LOL!!

No, theres not alot of rust.

Yes, there is a very little amount of rust.

No, there are below averages blemishes, rust and dings for a girl her age.

yes, this car is in very good condition and very solid.

No! This is the last time I'm washing for you!!! Just been detailed and ready to go home with you!

All 7 tires (including spare) are currently mounted on rims. So you get,
4 all weather tires mounted on rims
2 studed snow tires mounted on rims
1 spare mounted on rim
All holding air!!

Just think what a rotate, rebalance, and remount would do for her....
That would really help any of us if ya think about it!!!

She's money.......and ready and willing for her first restore. Well just some real attention, being "THE" car, not one of many would help her at her shows this summer!................................WORD!

I'm going to get ABodyBetty to go out for a ride tonight and rip it up the BIG hill to get a video to post on here for you guys later. That way everyone can hear her and see how she runs.

It is a Flip Video Camera. You can find them at Wal-Mart for under $150. You do have to download the video to youtube in order to post them on there. They are so easy to use. I love mine.

Clara Sold!

I miss her already. I liked her sense the first day I saw her. My favorite color, one of my favorite years of Dart. She was a real gem to our family the whole approx 5 years we've owned her. She was hands down the most dependable Dart I've ever been around besides my 64.
She took very good care of our son. He finally got an interest in the mechanical side of car ownership. One day I came home from work and he was changing spark plugs by himself!! (Only wanted to know where the gas went ONLY, before she came along.
Now he does his own vehicle maintenance.

Well Clara, as you've changed hands several times in our family, I kept thinking I was going to be the one to end up with you and someday be able to afford to buy you for myself. But it was never to be. Everytime you went up for sale I had to watch while someone else took possesion of you. Now, I had to watch one last time, someone else getting to buy you and drive away. But some how I was always the one who took care of you. That's why I like you so much. I hardly ever had to work on you. You were great to me and my family and for that I want to thank you!
I'll miss you Clara. I wish you would have been mine......

Clara's new Dad is pretty cool. He has been watching this thread. Maybe he'll decide to join us. I told him to call me first if he ever decides to sell even if after restore. I hope I have enough money by then!
