Found out today that the front bench seat in our 69 Swinger 340 is not original to the car. It is from 71 Valiant. Question is, how similar are they? The seat needs recovered anyway... can I get 69 upholstery to fit? I’ll have to check tomorrow, but I don’t think the front matches the back.

I'm not 100% but I think the only real difference is where the seat release is. One is on the hinge area which I believe is the earlier one and the 70 or 71 was up on the side of the seat back and is cable operated.

So the back DOES match the front. I have a complete set of seats from a 1971 Valiant. Both front and back had matching broadcast sheets.

In addition to potentially different locations for the releases, I think the headrests are different. No matter to us, we are keeping what we have. I cleaned the back up tonight. It is in good shape. I have a split in the driver butt area along a seam. I could use some advice on how to fix it.
