1969 Dart tire and wheel sizes

Do a search on this forum, there is a real good post on here about this topic, I just cant locate it right now. :BangHead:@toolmanmike might chime in

I put together a set of 15x7 rims from Wheel Vintiques (bought from Summit) with 255/60-15 Cooper Cobras on them for my 69 Dart. They are too wide, but some of that is because I went to a 8.75 rear end with Dr. Diff BBP axles. His axle flanges are thicker than stock by about 1/4" or so. Even with the stock axles (I have a set that have been redrilled for BBP) it would still be pretty tight. The spring side isn't so bad but the fender side needs help. I need to go to 245/60-15's or roll the fender lips, or both. YMMV, these cars are all a little different when it comes to this sort of thing.

Oh, and the two sides are not identical. One is closer than the other. Go figure...

FWIW, on my 69 Swinger a 245 60R15 rubbed on wheel lip using 15x7 with 4.25 BS. My car is at stock ride height. These cars are all a little different, and not the same side to side.

My friend also has a 69 Swinger and runs 245 60 r15 on 15x8 with 4.5BS. His car is raised a little in back, doesn't rub bit is very close.

255s on an 8” wheel. Lips are cut off and it’s close everywhere, but it’ll fit.

I have 15x8 rears, 255/60/15. 4.5 backspace, 4 3/4's backspace would be better. I have to drop my 4-link to remove tires.
