1969 Dart Trunk Lid - Need Some Help With Lock Dimensions

HELP!
When I bought my current '69 Dart the previous owner had already removed the trunk lid lock.
Now that it's ready for paint, my painter asked me to bring the new lock I just bought to make sure all is well.
The new lock just falls through the existing hole in the trunk lid. The hole doesn't look like it's been enlarged.
Can someone please let me know the correct diameter the hole should be?
I checked the factory service manual and didn't see any mention of a bezel to go between the lock and the trunk lid.
Any help you can give me will be much appreciated!

There isn’t an extra bezel on my ‘69 GTS. The lock is mounted through the trunk lid and the tail pan sits over it. Check your lock size. The outside diameter of the face should be a little over an inch.
