I almost have the car completely stripped and after lots of searching have found a guy to do the bodywork and paint. In about 3 weeks the shell of the dart will leave my garage and head to the Blaster !!!

I had yet to remove the heater box, so I did that today along with the rest of the dash and found the box broken in several spots. As i took it out it cracked into several pieces. I looked in the year one and classic ind catalog and they dont remake them !!! Looks like i will br trying to glue it back together.

IF you don't have the "6-pack" scoop yet, check out part # MA2453 from Classic Ind. It's 1 inch lower than others and looks great on our cars. Cost was only $166+ shipped. I love mine.

My bumpers are pretty clean. The front one needs a little work, theres a few dings.
The back one needs no straightening just a new chrome finish. I went to my local chrome shop where they still do the work on site. The guy wanted $1100 bucks to do both bumpers with a little straightening and 4 bumper gaurds. I checked the price of repopped bumpers from AMD and the front and rear were about $550. So.....What do i do ? save a little cash and get the repops ? or go with the originals for mo money, but a sure fit?

I am also in need of a 69 dart glove box latch catch. Its the part that attaches to the dash frame and holds the glove box closed. Does anyone repop those ?
Does anyone have one they want to sell ?

Killer project motobro. Couldn't help but think of the Flinstones when I saw the first 2 pictures of the car going to the blaster :-) I would shop around for better quotes on you bumpers. Got my originals replated for $800.00 for the pair. I have not seen the AMD bumpers in person but it is my experience that you get what you pay for. Please correct me if I am wrong in this case :-). A visit to your local wrecker would probably be the easiest way to get the latch. If all else fails, Desert Valley Auto Parts out here in Arizona has quite a few 67-69 Darts and I am certain they have one. Phone # is 1-800-905-8024 or 623-780-8024.
