1971 Dodge Demon fender extension gasket?

Hey everybody, we are assembling the front fender extensions onto our newly painted 71 Demon. Is there a gasket that goes in between the front fender extension and the fender? Or what are you guys using? Doesn't seem like a good idea to put that thing paint to paint.

No gaskets. You may be aware of this but, test fit the extension to make sure the mounting flange on the extension sits flush to the fenders face or else you'll pull the studs out of the extension while tightening. It may only be happening like that on some of the Amd fenders, but I'm just throwing it out there as a reminder to save you some headaches. We found out on a set of Amd fenders we bought. We just added a few small washers where needed to close the gap.
