Anyone have the measurements for where the scoop mounts on the hood of the 72 Duster 340? Trying to mark and drill my holes for the scoop and dont wanna get them wrong. Thanks in advance!

The holes are in every hood for late 71 and all 72. They are in the inner brace that is where they have to go. There is a proceedure to locate them to the hood surface bu a template is not the way on any OEM scoop going on the year hood that they would have came on. Use a made aluminum bushing and a transfer punch.

here are pictures of a hood with and without the scoop but both have the access holes in the inner. Transfer punch them from the bottom up through the holes then center punch them from the top down. Drill 1/4 inch holes . Set the scoop on and locate the others holes and drill them . After located drill all holes to 3/8

This is also done with twin scoops . Don't waist your money on a useless template. The scoop can only go where the original holes are in the inner frame

That 2nd pic is my hood. I would sell you the whole hood with scoop mounted already

Red is twin scoops
Yellow is a snorkel scoop

All the hoods have the twin scoop holes 70-72
Only late 71 and 72 have the snorkel holes

I forgot to mention the all scoops would need Two more holes drilled besides the holes that are marked . They can be easily located by setting the scoops on the holes that you initially drill using the method I listed.
