Car located in Ventura County, Southern California.

1973 Plymouth Duster. Original 318 2bbl/904 car.

I have had and enjoyed this car since 2006. It has a clean title in my name and has always been garaged.

All new engine bay wiring/harness.

Now a warm 318, with FiTech fuel injection conversion and A833 OD 4 speed. Fold down back seat car, with rear seat re-upholstered about a year ago. Originally blue color, but converted over to a Hemi Orange-like color back in 2007. Paint in good condition, with a few cracks around the drip rails on the roof. and chips. This was originally a vinyl top car. There is no rust, or rust bubbles on the body of this car. Overall, it is in very good driver condition that you do not have to worry about compromising the integrity of the paint, if driven.

The 318 is the original block and heads. It was rebuilt back in 2010, with a 3 angle valve job, and all new bottom end components, with moly rings. Comp Cams XE268 cam, which is warm with slight lope, lift of .477/.480. Hooker Headers. Exhaust is 2.5" with H-pipe and Dynamax UltraFlo mufflers. Ignition is electric, with Mopar chrome box and FBO curved distributor. This was originally an a/c car, but all components have since been removed from the engine bay and the belts/pulleys are converted over to a non a/c setup. This is not a screamer, but it is a very well performing cruiser engine, and reliable.

For the fuel injection, the 400 hp FiTech unit has been on the car for about a year and had no more than 300 miles on it since that point. The system works very well and installation was well executed by a reknowned local restoration shop. The fuel tank is new, with an in tank electric sump pump and all new fuel lines to the throttle body. Everything works very well, starts are easy, and throttle response on the bottom end is crisp. Some minor tweaks to the tuning via the provided touchscreen unit are needed for all to be perfect.

The A833 4 speed swap was made about 2 years ago. All new linkage, flywheel, clutch, and installation components were used. Original A body Hurst shifter unit. This is an OD trans, so it has a short 1st gear (3.09). OD/4th, is .63, so highway cruising is nice (2500 rpm at 70 mph). The transmission shifts well, and does not make noise, but needs a minor refresh. The speedometer cable housing is leaking a fair amount and needs resealed and the linkage could use some additional adjustment.

The rear is a rebuilt 8.25", with a new Sure Grip unit and 3.91 gears.

The front suspension has been rebuilt within the last year and a half and performs well. There is a front sway bar. In the rear, a sway bar was also installed. The car handles pretty well. Wheels are 15x7 Torque Thrust in the rear with spacers and 255/60/15 tires. Upfront, 15x7 Torque Thrust wheels are also used.

In the interior, new carpet was installed at the time of the transmission swap. There is a split bench seat, that was dyed black. All gauges work, as do the dash lights. The speedometer works, but needs adjustment. It is currently unhooked. There is a Pioneer radio/CD player also installed. Front windshield has a small chip on the driver side. Weatherstripping is okay. Grommets for windshield wiper arms need replacing.

All and all, this a solid, good cruiser to take out on weekend drives, or to cruise ins, with minimum fuss and is fun to drive with its 4 speed and easy starting injection setup.

Selling only to move onto a different Mopar project!

$14,000 , or make a respectable offer. No low ballers or tire kickers permitted.

PM me with interest.
