There’s no denying that is a major reason for uprooting my life and spending every dime we had to go 1,700 miles away from everything I knew and all of the car connections I had... Driving any of my old Mopars anytime of the year absolutely makes it all worth it.

Also, it still makes me queezy thinking about shoveling a path to get our cars out and chipping 1/2” thick ice off of my windshield at 5am when it’s so cold it hurts to breath and you can’t feel your fingers, ears or toes and by the time you can finally do get into your Luke warm car, not going far enough to thaw out or your car get warmed up fully just to face the work day.
I know the pain and fought it and the rust long enough.

I say that but I’m heading back to Illinois to pick up a 1971 340 Duster soon... It’s rusty and it is going to stay in Illinois and will be for sale in Illinois but it’s complete minus motor/trans (auto) it still has the sharktooth grill, 8.75 rear, bucket seat console interior... with a straight axle! It’s too bad they did it but it’s a cool 340 71 none the less.

Are you stopping by to get the interior parts from my 73 Dart?

hey man! You’re a good guy for keeping faithful to that deal!
When I’m back I may just run that way just to say hi and check out some of your Mopars. I’m sure you can pay it forward and help out another Mopar member that may be in need of the parts.
Thanks buddy, you interested in a 71 Straight Axle 340 Duster? It’s in Danville and I could drop it off to you! :D

Is the71 set up like an old gasser. If so I may know someone interested in it. Got pictures?

The guy I bought it from thinks it’s original paint but he’s not positive, I’m dying to see it in person. I’m still debating on dragging it all the way out here or just selling it in Champaign just as it is.
Gauges are in the back seat, all wiring, lights etc are there. I’m going to post it up in for sale soon and may not have to deal with it at all!
There’s a perfect (perfect sheetmetal but just a tub... so perfect!) stripped 71 4 door car just sitting behind a old shop that would be an amazing donor car.

That's the only car in the barn now. Everything else is a dodge truck, a jeep or a trailduster. The Darts are either outside or in my garage.

1971 Plymouth Duster 340 4 speed
She’s all cleaned up and ready for someone. I’m asking $5500 OBO
This car is really cool and it has a beautiful broadcast sheet!!!
It’s still wearing its factory GK6 Dark Bronze metallic and is extremely solid underneath! this may be the only example built with code L6/X9 black interior/black seats with peweter inserts!
I’ve never seen this let alone in a brown car!!!
It has the original 8.75 rear end under it, the driveshaft, 23 spline 4 speed, aluminum bell house, pressure plate, flywheel and clutch fork.
It has a perfect shark tooth grill, decent fenders, doors, amazing inside the trunk! Even the tire well has original paint!! Wheel tubs are perfect, rockers have very little rust along with both quarters. It’s missing shock towers and lower half of inner fenders.
glass is perfect including windshield, dash has been cut for a radio but it has the rally cluster that’s in good shape. Dash is complete minus radio.
I bought it to leave the straight axle in with a nasty small block and 4 speed. It’s an aftermarket dropped spindle/dropped axle and done well a long time ago. Cool car.
let me know if you are interested before it goes on feeBay. PM me.
