Ok, selling my 74 Duster. It is a daily driver since I got it in March. It was rear ended a couple weeks ago. It still runs and drives fine but both quarters are dented/wrinkled from being hit in the back. I started trying to pull one of the dents and then realized it's best to leave that to someone who knows what they are doing. The doors are a little hard closing for the same reason. Just need strickers/hinges adjusted I guess. They do open and close fine.
Has an AZ restored/salvage title because of the accident.
Car has a 318 with a 4 bbl Carter AFB and a cam. Don't know cam specs. Runs real nice for a 318. Don't know miles on the engine, previous owner said was rebuilt but unsure how long ago. Rear main leaks oil. Not a lot but I have a pan under it on the driveway. Leaks more at higher RPM like on the freeway, especially uphill. 904 Trans shifts well. A little slow to move when the car is first fired in the morning. After that, works perfectly.
Previous owner replaced both lower quarters for rust and there is still some small rust near the tail light corners but not bad at all. Spare tire well was also replaced. Has some rust repair in the rockers but I don't know much other than what can be seen in the pics.
Headliner is new, rear seat and package tray are redone. Dash pad is perfect, no cuts or cracks. Front seat could use going over but is ok like it is. Carpet is fair but could use new. I was going to change everything to tan which the rear portion is, just did not make it up to the front seat area yet. Door panels are good, just need paint to tan.
Rear end is a 8 ¼ with 2.76 gears. Tires are decent 14”. Wheels are stock rally wheels. Dual exhaust with glass packs. Small pipe size though.
I had cleaned up the engine bay and sprayed it yellow as the outside of the car was going to be yellow.
Drove car across the Desert in March from Los Angeles to Tucson and ran like a champ. Only problem was the oil leak.
Car is in Tucson AZ. Thanks for the ad FABO. Price is $1300 OBO
