Hey guys I need some help, looking for stock engine compartment pictures. My car is a 1974 318 car. The po did some bad things to her and now I'm trying to sort them out. Trying to find the location of the horn (wire color would be a bonus) also I'm looking for vacuum routing (canister-radiator thingy-air cleaner-egr). I've tried Google but could not find any good pictures. I have no idea where the horn mounts. Thanks for any help/pictures

Mine is completely as original under the hood. I can snap some pics for you when I get home tonight. Let me know exactly what you need to see.

Horn mounts under the battery tray.

VERY NICE! ..... All the secondary vacuum lines (evap. canister-egr-radiator thing-air cleaner)....Can you see your horn, could you tell me what color the wire is? Thank you for the help.

What it looked like when i brought her home (there's a story here-always is right?) and where i am at currently with her.

i found a cut dark green with red in that area but does not light up when pressed (going out to check the fuses now)

The babies...1973 99 EMS (1 of 8 known in country-4 run) only made the true ems for 2 years ('73-'74) and my 2004 polar white AERO (1 of 50 polar whites and 1 of 1 with the sport tech interior) The AERO to SAAB was the equivalent to Dodge's SRT (different motor-interior-body kit-suspension)

Actually want to sell the Plymouth ($6,000 Chicago area) Don't get me wrong Mopars are my first love but i have this "thing" for SAAB's i picked the Plymouth up because parts were a lot easier to come by but the bug is getting the better of me.

Man, you are KILLING ME with those Saab pix! I have a '71 99 (with one of the very very few manual transmissions from '70-'71 that survived the too-small input bearing problems; I had the main shaft snout rebuilt...) sitting in the garage that was daily driver. I have not touched it in years and years; all original parts still. Maybe I'll forget about moving to Idaho and work on that instead LOL. Thanks for the nice pix!

Nice SAAB's!!
My Dad special ordered a '88 9000 SPG (Special Performance Group which was the precursor to the Aero) and picked it up from the factory in Gothenburg when we were living in Stockholm. When we moved back to Canada he had it shipped over. It was probably one of less than ten 9000 SPG's (not a 900) in Canada.

Interesting a 9k SPG. How awesome guys, thank you for making me feel welcome here even though i have 2 passions (mopars/saabs). Never would have thought anyone would even know what i was talking about. Some before of the 99.

I will get some underhood shots later this morning. In the mean time, I think these illustrations from the 1974 Chassis Service Manual will be helpful. One the fuel canister illustration, note that in 1974 Dart and Valiant/Duster do not use the bowl vent line from the canister to the carburetor. That port on the canister has a rubber plug on it.

Here are some shots of the horn and evap canister. Let me know if you need anything else.

The wiring next to the horn is for the relays for my Crackedback headlight harness.

According to the 1974 Chassis Service Manual, the horn relay is mounted to the side of the fuse block.

Wow that looks really good what size wheels and tires are those? The steels with the dog dish caps ?
