The car is going to be awesome
Did same more work on the Scamp yesterday. Got the new rear tires (255/60r15) mounted on the rims and the car. A little tight to the leaf spring side. But it clears. May try a 1/4" spacers on the car just for a little bit more room. Also started bolting up the Fitech system.
Today I wrapped up putting the gas tank back in the Scamp. Got fuel lines run. Just want to get a few clamps to hold it in place in a few spots. Flex plate is bolted up and got trans ready to go in. Tomorrow I hope. Lastly I cleaned the rear bumper support and sprayed some bed liner on it. Going on after it drys.
Well she's starting to come to life. Got some lights working and some not. Parking lights seem to want to stay on all the time. Even with switch off. And fan runs all the time. I hate electric problems !!!!

Hey Brian it's coming along real nice. I have to ask you though why the 1973 plate? On my Barracuda I have a set of new never registered 1966 MICHIGAN plates and the SOS allowed me to register them to that car, and on my Scamp I just got the historical plate for now so I can work out the bug's and drive it around. The only things that I need to do to mine is 1 charge the A/C and 2 I need to find the drivers side rear upper plastic door panel trim, mine is cracked. Any how it's looking great, talk with you latter.

Oh you would think a life time Michigander would know that, but I didn't and after looking at the picture again I can see where the sticker is. I am hoping when I come over for my nephews birthdays this year I will get a chance to stop on by and check your's out. I will let you know when I am going to make the road trip.

Think I may have just got the deal of the century. Last week my daughter wanted a shirt off Amazon. It was about $30. So I went to check out and it said if I spent a little more than I would get free shipping. So, what do I need or want ?? I searched "scamp headliner" and some popped up. I was looking at them and came across one the said it was $60. It was off white but hell what every color I get Im going to have to dye it blue anyway. So I ordered it and it showed up today. Looks great. ABS with padding. Don't know why it was so much less them the other one's on Amazon. All the rest of them where like $300.

Well the new sail panels from Classic Industries don't even come close to fitting so I was lucky enough to have what was left of my old ones. So last night I ran to Hobby lobby and picked up some stuff to try and make some myself. Turned out pretty good I have to say.

Thanks... Yes I did. I took out all the LED bulbs and put stock ones in and everything was fine. I sure wanted LED taillights..
Looks like it smoothed out nice. Did you use a heat gun? Took mine a while in the hot sun to settle.
Nope. Just pulled it out of the box and let it lay out over night.
