1976 Mexican Spec Valiant Duster - 60205Q
Hello Friends
This is a 1976 Mexican Spec Valiant Duster.
A little word about the name.
In 1970 Mexico stopped using the Plymouth name. Valiant took its place so this is a Valiant Duster.
Under the hood is a 225 slant 6 with a 2 barrel carburetor. That makes this a Super Six engine.
This car is an automatic from the factory.
What is odd, as you can see in the pictures, it has the reverse light on the dash that comes on to tell you it is in reverse.
These were used on floor shifted manual cars to tell you that you are in reverse rather than a forward gear.
There is no reason for an automatic car to have it, but this one does.
Being a Mexican Spec car you can see this car has the 1976 Plymouth Valiant front end with the Dodge Dart Sport rear end.
The Dodge Dart Sport rear end was only used 2 years in Mexico. That was in 1973 and 1976.
In 1973 the car had no trim piece between the tail lights but in 1976 it did, as you can see on this car.
The trim piece between the tail lights is a Mexico only part as evidenced by it having the Valiant name on it.
The dark green paint looks really good on this car.
The interior features green vinyl bench seats front and rear.
The car is equipped with a factory heater but it is not connected. It might need a new heater core. Keep that in mind.
The original radio is in place but the plastic dial is damaged.
The rear bumper was damaged at some point and welded back. It is not chrome, it is painted silver.
The front bumper is in good condition and is chrome.
This is not a restored car, it is a daily driver so there will be details that need to be done when it arrives.
The price quoted will include a new set of tires.
I challenge you to find a clean, un-modified, Duster like this for anywhere near this price.
The price of the vehicle landed in Jacksonville Florida will be $12,000 dollars.
This car is in Southern Mexico so shipping to Jacksonville Florida would be the best option.
(I also offer delivery to the border at Nogales. Please contact me for that cost.)
I am getting set up shipping to the west coast as well. Contact me for information on that.
I can provide you with a transport company that can pick the vehicle up at the port and deliver it to your door at an extra cost.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that process.
