I cut easy 1.9's consistently with a open 2.76, regular radial 235/60r15's and slapper bars.
With the drag radials (and a low horsepower car) my Dart usually hooks. A friend of mine (also a 14 second car) got a well worn used set for free and it hooks well.
Hard to say...I see it as more of a consistency thing for bracket racing (also helps the car run cool on hot days). If I recall correctly my car picked up about a tenth when I switched over.
Oh I know, I've been paying attention to you!! As soon as the trans is in, homemade subframe connectors are next. We noticed the drivers door "popped" when opening it after a day at the track. And that it went back to normal after setting a day or 2. If funds allow I would really like to do drag radials AND slapper bars. We will see....
Tell her to tighten her seat belt. I hope you guys start a thread so we can watch your progress.
Might as well count this beast in as well... call it "Kidswillrun" '80 Dodge truck, 318, details unknown yet.

Aaahhh.. I had the same problem. Only way to get around it is a link. Thanks
Went to TNT today and had some fun.
Awesome. You have the first time slip in.
Crap, I didn't go. Thought they had some grudge thing going on.
They opened it to TNT. I saw it on Facebook last minute and went.
Sooooo, Went to the track today. My first time ever. Plenty of street racing (not an endorsement) when I was a kid. I was going to take it easy check it out, get a run under my belt. See what the car would do. No shifting, just roll into it and go. Which I did. Figured it would get better. Little did I know that would be my only pass. The lines were crazy, bunches of race cars, vw convention in town, the weather was crap, and after several hours and delays, with the rain setting in, we gave up. The good news is I had a ball! I am sooo going back. Soon. Even when you're waiting in line you're amongst like-minded people. Can't wait to go back, but it will definitely be on a weeknight or I'll pay more attention to what's actually going on at the track before I go. So here's what the car did just mashing the gas. Obviously lots of room for improvement, lol. Here's our view when we got in line. 4 lanes deep........ Nice video my son got. Car shifted about 3,000, LOL and pay no attention to that Audi that ran an 11.
Congratulations! Be aware, drag racing is more addictive than opioids.
Thank-you! But to late for intervention, pal. Lol
This is my thread after my first time (at the track).
Met FABO member @mderoy340 at the track today! Had very helpful tips and has a bad ass car! Nice to meet you Mike, and thanks again!
Can I make a suggestion? Can we put Mderoy in 1st and moparmandan in 2nd? And maybe we can keep them in order as the runs come in - 1st place, 2nd place, etc
Awesome and glad you guys went... !!!!
