Hi All,

I am trying to hunt down a compressor bracket (for hooking up a snadden compressor) to my VC valiant. This Aussie beast didn't originally come with A/C so brackets are hard to come by. I could have one laser cut but it would cost a significant amount. I know you can purchase a kit but with postage from US it is significant. I thought I would at least investigate whether anyone may have one sitting in the shed and needing a new Aussie home?

Any feedback or comment welcomed.

Second on Charrlie_S bracket. I got the first one he built and it's amazing. I got a ton of compliments on it when my car was running.

Those in the U.S. can look for an Aspen or Volare slant. I ran across one in the junkyard w/ Sanden compressor and grabbed the brackets. If you don't have power steering, easiest is to mount a bracket on the 3-bolt block pad where the p.s. pump brackets bolt. I have a York-Sanden adapter that looks like it might work by just drilling a few holes. Look on ebay for the one w/ curved tensioning slots. Said in Malaysia posted photos here of a similar bracket he had custom-made to mount a Sanden on that pad. His car (~64 convertible) is also right-hand drive so had an interesting remote oil filter that Aussie cars might have had.
