I have a couple questions. I bought new factory style front disc brakes. Does the adjustable proportion valve go on the front or the back line? How do I lower my brake pedal. It's way high. Thanks guys.

Adjustable valve is to dial down the pressure to the rear drums. I assume you left your drum brake valve in which is really just a splitter and maybe safety valve.

Does this look right from what you can see? My car is grabbing on the front and the adj is all the way out. I have a few things to button up before I take it out and cruise it so I thought I'd ask people that have done this . What is the blue thing?

Well, one problem may be the wrong master cylinder. The factory disc/drum master cylinder has a larger reservoir for the front brakes. Is that the same master you used for drum brakes? If so, it would have a residual pressure valve in the front line, which would cause the disc brakes to drag. Your proportioning valve is also in the wrong place. It should be between the splitter/safety valve and the line running to the rear of the car, not between the MC and the splitter.

I have performed this conversion successfully on my convertible. I did that by matching the factory disc installation on my fastback.

This master cylinder came with the kit I got from performance online. The front brakes don't drag but they grab as if the backs arent getting pressure. I think the guy set the valve the wrong way and yes possibly in the wrong place. Thank you for the help.

First off, as mvh said, the proportioning valve goes in the rear line after it exits the distribution block.
Edit: If you're not using a distribution block, the p. valve can go right after the master in the line to the rear. The line to the front brakes would go to a tee that splits to each front wheel.
The front brakes should lock up first. Take it out in a wet parking lot. Do a few test braking runs- the proportioning valve should be adjusted so the fronts lock up just before the rears.
As for what the blue thing is, my guess is it's an inline residual valve for the rear drums. It goes between the master's line for the rear brakes and the distribution block. (If you're not using a dist. block, it goes between the master and the prop. valve)
