Does anybody know if a trunk lid from a 67 barracuda convertible would fit a 68 barracuda fastback? Also would the lower rear quarter panels fit? Any other body parts interchange know how? I assume front fenders would swap just punch out hole for markers??
Thanks

Here ya go

67-69 fastback is it's own trunklid. Coupe and vert share the same lid

67-68 fenders interchange except for afore mentioned light hole

69 fender is it's own animal because of changes in headlight bucket area for the 69 specific grilles headlight rings

All the rear quarter outer skins are the same up to the top character line. Above that they are specific to coupe, vert, fastback.

All front and rear valances interchange all 3 years.

Vert body structure is pretty specific for vert top and wheel houses, but all 3 use the same trunk floor, main floor, inner fenders, firewall, framerails, rockers, cowl inner and outer, rad support, torsion bar crossmember, shock crossmember, trunk drops etc.

Fastback and coupe share same inner and outer rear wheel houses. These inner and outer wheel houses also fit 70-72 demon, 73-76 dart sport, 70-76 duster

67-69 barracuda are 108" wheelbase and use the same main floorpan and rockers as a duster/demon/dart sport.

67-69 barracuda doors interchange with minor sheetmetal differences. Verts have door wedges to hold the doors tight at the back when closed (main door glass is different all 3 body types. Coupe, vert, fastback)

67 door has chromed countersink screws holding the vent wing frame in. Can be seen on the painted upper part. Vent flap on front hinge area of the door, vent flap and grille on lower aft painted part of the door.

68 door is the same as 67 except the chromed countersunk screw is missing. There is a stamped hole and a plastic plug over the hole. Vent screw is behind the hole.

69 door the front vent flap in the hinge area is gone, aft lower vent flap is gone, and the door lock button is moved forward about 10" . Base model 69s do not have the wide window sill stainless steel trim so theres no holes.

Dash frames. 67 is a 1 year only with the glovebox hinges and door. Shaft type radio opening, chrome trimmed ignition key hole. No vin tag mounting holes

68 has lower dash pads, and is drilled for them. Has same glovebox hinge setup from 68-76. 1 year only slide out ashtray. Radio hole redesigned for thumbwheel roller radio. Holes for vin tag

69 dash is like 68, but lower pad holes are gone, and back to a 67 style ashtray.

Wow! awesome in-depth. Thanks.

Heres some more

Hoods.

67-68 same hood. 68 has optional turn signal holes

69 hood 1 year only. Can use 73-76 dart hood on a 69 barracuda. Need to use 73-76 dart hood hinges with it. 69 has optional turn signals as well

67-68 upper grille header is same stamping. Only differences are 67 individual plymouth letters, and 68 having a single piece plymouth letter emblem

69 grille upper header is it's own animal. 1 year only

67-68-69 hood latch upright is the same

67-68 latch striker plate with hood spring is the same

69 hood latch striker plate with hood spring is it's own animal. Will interchange with 73-76 dart. Cuda one has 4 welded on nuts. Dart one has 4 holes for clip nuts. This is the only difference.

Front and rear bumpers and bumper brackets are the same all 3 years

Inner fender Splash shields same all 3 years.

Rear framerail tie bar behind rear valance is the same 67-76 all A body.

Your welcome. I have farted around with these things long enough doing sheetmetal repair, and everything else. I have a 67 and a 69 coupe. Used to have a 68 fastback years ago. I use a lot of dart and valiant generic sheetmetal underneath structural stuff for repairs since it's the same car underneath, and that's what I have a decent amount of in my boneyards around here. Not 1 barracuda out here except the cars I own.
