Im installing my Alt bracket on my 318, and I noticed that there is a gap where the bolt that goes through the water pump. Was there some sort of spacer that goes here?

The car has AC but it does not look like the AC bracket goes down that far or use the same bolt.

There is supposed to be another bracket there that supports the top of the alternator where the pivot is....

That's a set up for A/C...

If you are trying to go non-A/C, then you will need the non A/C alternator mounting bracket and proper crank and water pump pulleys... They are available through Mancini Racing or bouchelon performance...

Ok I thought it might be missing something. Im keeping AC just need to find the other part.

Thanks!

The part that you need is the main bracket that holds the A/C compressor, that bracket will fill the gap that shows in your picture...

I put everything back on to mock it up and not sure what else is missing, still seems to be a gap and if I tighten it, it will start bringing it inward. The AC bracket does not go down that far. The AC bracket seems to be held by the top 2 through bolts this one sits lower.

It's hard to tell with your picture, it's kind of small... Plus some more angles will help...

Close up and different angles, and some pan shots also so we can see the whole picture...

Tighten it up. I dont believe anything goes there.

I thought so too, and I thought it was weird being that I installed one of these on a 360 with factory AC and it went on fine. Maybe this one was just bent out a little Im not sure. Ill tighten and see what happens.
