Long shot here, but would someone have a stock driver side 318 exhaust manifold to replace my cracked one? Stamp on the existing one is 2951123. Doesn't seem like Dorman or anyone else makes a repop of this one, so I'm scouting to see what I can source from the Mopar gods of FABO. I'm in Long Beach, CA if that matters.
I have a 3614395 Left side original 71-73 340. Will work for your 318. Your 2951123 fits a 68-69 318 originally.
Looks like I have a deal going with str12-340, so I'm good for now. If it doesn't work out, I'll come back to the other offers. Thanks all! This site rules!
Hah! Someone needs to get their story straight! I don't know much about auto manufacturing, but if 70-71 is correct, then I guess it's possible that my 72 was an early-year build and they were still using up the old ones. Or the ones in my car aren't original and were swapped at some point. At any rate, I know the 2951123 ends exactly where the rest of the exhaust begins (and it clears my PS) so that's the one I'm going to replace it with.
Most of them will interchange and work just fine. As long as your not restoring one to OE condition, It really doesn't matter.
I have one removed from a 71 318. Dated 4 29 71. Car SPD June 71. The book shown is GG white book. why is your online list correct over the mighty GG? LOL there are mistakes in his book, but this isn’t one of them. Never had any wrong info online, right. I recommend deleting that list a mopar1.us. Big clue not looking at any list is a 68-69 doesn’t have a heat shield or the bosses to bolt one on to it. Now let’s move on the the air cleaner, the is no place to connect a hot air tube to.
What I'd love to see just for posterity is what that GG White Book says a little further down -- what was the actual manifold that came in my car -- 72 A-Body (swinger special)
Here it is for 73-74 A body left side 318. The GG book doesn’t show a 72 318 A -body left side manifold. So maybe it is correct to have the 70-71 on there. Second photo is 67-69 A body 273-318 left side.
If all else fail's, I have a set from a very nice, 70,000 mile, stock 72 318 Swinger with A/C & P.S. with the heat shield still on the left side. Shipping it from Pa. will be more than the manifold though I think. I can PM you pictures if you have any interest though. $25+ the shipping.
Have six (6) manifolds available, late sixties up through mid seventies. Not a number expert as those above, PM if interested. Can go over what I have, with you. Clean southern New Mexico metal. Dave S zip code 88032
