318Fest at the #MoparVsBrandXstreetcarShowdown 10/10/2020 in Alabama

With all the 318 buzz lately I wanted to make sure anyone who may have one knows about our shindig down in Alabama 10/10/2020. The #MoparVsBrandXstreetcarShowdown is building off of a very successfull first event last year and assuming the pandemic and world events calm down soon... we look to do it again! It's a 40+ mile Cruise, 1/8mile Dragrace, and Dyno event at Jakes Dragstrip in Moulton AL and is directed at 1999 and older Ratty Muscle Cars, or any Muscle Car really. I'll post a tech card below.... BUT... in addition to the 3 classes of racing and festivities we drafted up an idea called #318Fest where the only rule is that you have a 318! (also open to 273s and 3.9V6) This group will be almost an "exhibition" between rounds of the other classes (Gladiator Street, Barely Legal, and Bandit Street) The 318Fest is geared towards research and development / trial and error of the notorious underdog that is too good to go away. The 318s are welcome to run in the other classes but have a league of their own now and should help put theory, fable, snakeoil, outright lies, and unrealistic expectations to bed while also paying homage to 318 combos that WORK and prove that it can be done in side by side comparison. I will try to run a car in the class, as it is my intention to do so in addition to running my Super Bee in Gladiator Street. Here is a video on the event

Glad to see that your going forward with this during the crisis and unrest the nation is having. This has put more than a dent in my wallet and pocket. At least I’ll be retired next year.
