plastigage is cheap, and a good way to identify a problem before you put everything together and fire that puppy up. Old scholl? nah.., just a cheap go/no go guage...the oil squirters pint inward to the center of the block, and squirt oil on the cylinder walls, the cam is lubed through oil passeges in the cam bearings.
