.........when using the mellings hv oil pump on a stock 1970 340 i've found that the oil pan hits the pump.........i've massaged many pans before, but on this 1 i dont want to and the owner insists on using the hv pump, i've tried talking him into a stock pump , but no way this is happening, does not want to use a truck pan either.........it is using the ALTER K so what pan do u guys/gals suggest..............thanks..........kim............

Hi Kimmer,
I used this pan from Advance. My car had a melling VH pump when I got it so I kept in. No rubbing. I believe it's stamped "294"...Though I'll need to check when I get the car jacked up again. Hope this helps...

The milodon road race oil pan. Holds 6 quarts, has a screw in port for an oil sensor, and sits high enough that it won't get damaged from poor roads.
