360 Oil Pans

I have been noticing some differences in some of my 360 oil pans. Here is one for a truck:

What is the question? I can't tell without side by side comparison, that looks more like a 273/318/340 pan.

The 360 pan has a much smaller REAR cutout than the front. 'teen pan the front / rear cutouts are pretty much the same size.

We ARE talking about LA here and not Magnum, right?

Here's the rear cutouts, again, the 360 is SMALLER The last bolt holes are all in the same place, so you can compare between

The main bearing journals are larger on the 360 but the rear cap is smaller.

Here are two different car pans. Here is a 392 pan vs an 876 pan. The 392 pan is the one needed to fit in an early a-body to clear the steering linkages. What is the 876 pan good for???

Yes, the one in post #1 is for a truck.

Well that explains why I had so much trouble with the reusable rubber Mr. Gasket i bought, it must've been for the 318 / 340, it was way to big at the rear, finally cut it off and used rtv. Knock on wood, happy to say no leaks yet.
